This continuous Weighing Machine is designed to check-weigh packages, such as Cartons or trays filled with product, against pre-set parameters. The machine is usually positioned behind a Cartoning or packaging machine and items arrive - lying across and feed on to an infeed conveyor.

The cartons travel on and pass a photo-electric cell, which signals the arrival of an item to the processor. The item now travels across a short multi-band conveyor which is part of the weighing platform. The weight of the item is registered and passed to the processors discriminator, which compares it with the pre-set weight.

Accepted cartons travel across a discharge conveyor and away to subsequent machines. If cartons are not within the acceptable weight range they are rejected from the discharge conveyor by a pneumatic Air-blast device. Any rejected items pass a sensor which gives reject confirmation as they fall into a plastic collection bin connected to the reject chute. The machine is suitable for weighing items up to 1,300 grams.
